How this hand works
A game against the computer, with the rules and a hand counter close by when you need them.
Keep the count weighs likely hand points. Play low cards keeps lower cards for pegging. A change waits until the next game.
Select a card with Enter or Space, then confirm with the button. The crib belongs to the dealer. Pegging cannot pass 31. The show counts the non-dealer’s hand, then the dealer’s hand, then the crib. The game stops at 121.
Your next hand in three steps
- Choose the crib cards. Select two discards from the six dealt to you. The crib belongs to the dealer.
- Play the kept cards. Follow the turn indicator, watching the running count as well as your game score. No play may take the running count above 31.
- Review the show. Count the non-dealer’s hand, then the dealer’s hand, then the crib. Stop if someone has already gone out.

Quick questions
Must I reach 121 exactly?
No. Reaching or passing it wins immediately, even before the rest of the deal is counted.
Does 31 also get a point for last?
No. Exactly 31 scores 2 instead of the 1 for last.
Does a four-card flush count in the crib?
Not on its own. The starter must match the four crib cards for a five-card flush.
Is muggins a universal rule?
No. Claiming an opponent’s overlooked points is an optional arrangement, not something to assume in every game. This game does not use muggins.
Follow the points
A point made during card play is not the same calculation as a hand counted afterwards. The scoring tables separate these phases, including the different jack bonuses.
Use the hand counter to inspect an isolated hand and starter. It does not replay the pegging phase or decide which earlier discard was best.
